1865.- En el niño se perfila el hombre del mañana. Por esto es interesante recoger lo que Baden Powell escribió un día cuando solo tenía 8 años. "Deseo que los pobres sean tan ricos y tan felices como nosotros lo somos; que todos aquellos que pasen por la calle den alguna moneda a los pobres que vean y den por amor de Dios por lo que El nos ha dado y porque ha hecho a los pobres pobres, y a los ricos ricos; y yo os diré que hay que hacer para ser buenos. Os lo voy a decir, hemos de rezar a Dios siempre que podamos; pero no podemos ser buenos si sólo rezamos, sino que hemos de poner todo nuestro esfuerzo para serlo. 26 de Febrero 1865".
